  • Sheriff at Hartley County is great to work for. He cares about all his staff and bends over backwards to help in every way he can. Sheriff is one that he wants to make sure that his staff knows that their family comes first. If someone from his staff has something going on with their family, he steps in and will cover their job with no hesitation. Sheriff is one that will do the same job as everyone else and will not think twice about it. He employees’ all his Deputies that have the same work ethics that he does. Sheriff and all his Deputies work great with the community, and they will do anything for the citizens of Hartley County. Hartley County Sheriff’s Office is for sure a GREAT place to work, and I will stand behind it 100%.

  • I was Chief Deputy from 2016 to 2020 at the Hartley County Sheriff’s Office. During that time the morale was up and we started implementing STEP for Channing, Texas. We were able to purchase new Tahoes for our fleet upfitting them with better equipment. Our agency purchased guns for all the Deputies and provided ammunition as needed. Training was provided or made available to those that wanted to achieve more than just what was required. In 2021 I was elected Sheriff and have improved or maintained the level of this office and what it offers to its employees. We are in-line with salaries in our area. Our patrol units are equipped with the latest technology. I’ve been with this agency since 2000, alot has changed since then. All of the changes heve been positive and with the employees best intrest in mind.
